Job Overview
Cascade Media is seeking a passionate and dedicated Podcast Research Scholar to join our team. This role is integral to our mission of fostering meaningful social conversations around mental health, operating our podcast as a movement rather than just a program. The ideal candidate will possess a deep commitment to understanding and articulating complex mental health topics, contributing to content that is both informative and emotionally resonant. You will be instrumental in shaping the narrative and ensuring the accuracy and impact of our podcast episodes, driving a purpose-driven approach to mental health advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth research on a wide range of mental health topics, trends, and scientific findings to inform podcast content.
• Identify compelling guest speakers, experts, and personal stories that align with the podcast's mission and themes.
• Develop detailed research briefs, outlines, and talking points for podcast episodes, ensuring accuracy and emotional depth.
• Collaborate closely with the podcast host and production team to translate research into engaging and impactful narratives.
• Fact-check all content to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and credibility in discussions surrounding mental health.
• Stay abreast of current events, research, and societal discussions related to mental health to proactively identify relevant episode topics.
• Contribute to the development of a content calendar that reflects a strategic approach to addressing diverse mental health issues.
Educational Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Master's degree or relevant certifications in mental health or research methodologies are a plus.
