The Sr AWS Redshift DBA will be engaging with various customers in their redshift database administration initiatives. The candidate will be involved in Database administration, tuning, management and security of AWS Redshift deployment and data-warehouse environments. The candidate will provide technical support for all database environments including development and production databases for the organization. Provide Assessment and implementation of new technologies for the database layer, providing long-term perspective on the relationship of the selected database technology to business opportunities. Candidate will be responsible for setting up, configuring, maintaining and enhancing proper infrastructure to support a large-scale data analytics environment.

. Requirements:
Excellent and proven knowledge of Amazon Redshift
Excellent and proven knowledge of Postgres/SQL on Amazon RDS
Excellent and proven knowledge of SQL
4+ years in AWS Redshift production environment a plus
Coordination with developers to perform query analysis
Coordination with team members for data extracts
Coordination with team members for data copies/restoration
Support/configuration of S3 Data Lake environment
User/group/role management for AWS Redshift instances
On-call support for Redshift/Data Lake
Co-ordinate with onsite offshore team members
Create/Update operational manuals/SOP and technical documents
Meet SLA as per contract requirements

Preferred Skills:

AWS certified professional is preferred
Strong scripting skills, i.e., Powershell, Python, Bash, Perl etc is desired.
Strong knowledge in AWS Cloud Features is desired
Experience with data ingestion/ETL tools like Attunity, AWS Glue is preferred
Experience in Analytics tool like PowerBI, Alation, Tableau is preferred
Understanding of integration of S3 with lambda functions is desired
