Job Overview:

Mountain America Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Internal Auditor to join our team. The Junior Internal Auditor will assist in conducting audits of various departments and functions within the credit union to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with regulations, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and executing internal audit engagements, including developing audit programs and testing procedures.
• Conduct audits of financial records, operational processes, and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
• Document audit findings, including deficiencies and recommendations for improvement.
• Prepare audit reports summarizing findings and recommendations for management.
• Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions to address audit findings.
• Assist in the assessment of risks and the development of audit plans.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to ethical standards.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA) are a plus.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal control concepts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for credit unions.
• Experience with audit software and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies.

Pay Rate/Salary:

Commensurate with experience.
