Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Functional Safety Engineer to join our team. As a Functional Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our automotive products through the application of functional safety standards and best practices. You will play a key role in the development and validation of safety-critical systems, contributing to the overall safety and reliability of our products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform hazard analysis and risk assessment (HARA) to identify potential safety hazards.
2. Develop safety concepts and safety requirements specifications in accordance with ISO 26262.
3. Design and implement safety mechanisms to mitigate identified hazards.
4. Conduct safety analyses, including FTA, FMEDA, and DFA, to verify the effectiveness of safety mechanisms.
5. Support the development and validation of safety-related software and hardware.
6. Participate in safety reviews and audits to ensure compliance with functional safety standards.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and systems engineers, to ensure the integration of safety requirements into the product development lifecycle.

Educational Qualifications

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
2. CISS certification in Automotive domain is required.

Must-Have Skills

1. 8-10 years of experience in functional safety engineering in the automotive domain.
2. Strong knowledge of ISO 26262 standard.
3. Experience with hazard analysis and risk assessment (HARA).
4. Proficiency in safety analysis techniques, such as FTA, FMEDA, and DFA.
5. Experience with safety-related software and hardware development.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. CISSP skill

Good-to-Have Skills

1. Experience with automotive SPICE (A-SPICE).
2. Knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture.
3. Experience with safety lifecycle management tools.
