Job Overview:

ACHNET Demo is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Desktop Engineer to join our IT team. The Desktop Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our desktop environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Windows operating systems, desktop virtualization technologies, and IT security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve desktop-related problems in a timely and efficient manner.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
• Manage and maintain desktop virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Citrix).
• Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect company assets.
• Participate in IT projects, including hardware and software upgrades.
• Document solutions to common problems and contribute to the knowledge base.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 11).
• Experience with desktop virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Citrix).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Familiarity with IT security best practices.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
• Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions.

Pay Rate/Salary:

$80,000 - $100,000 per year (depending on experience)
