Job Overview:

ACHNET Demo is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Polymer to lead and direct our polymer research, development, and manufacturing efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of polymer-related activities, from initial concept and research to product development, manufacturing processes, and quality control. This role requires a deep understanding of polymer science, materials engineering, and manufacturing processes, as well as strong leadership and management skills. The Head of Polymer will be a key member of the leadership team, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company and ensuring the successful development and commercialization of innovative polymer-based products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the polymer research and development team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
• Develop and execute the strategic vision for polymer-related activities, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
• Oversee the design, development, and testing of new polymer formulations and products.
• Manage the polymer manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production, high quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
• Prepare and manage the polymer department budget, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and resource allocation.

Educational Qualifications:

• A Ph.D. in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Advanced degree in Business Administration or Management is a plus.

Must-Have Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of polymer chemistry, physics, and materials science.
• Proven experience in polymer product development, manufacturing, and commercialization.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Experience with polymer processing techniques, such as extrusion, injection molding, and compounding.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with various polymer characterization techniques.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for polymer products.
• Experience with project management methodologies.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
