Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Surgical Registered Nurse to join our dynamic surgical team. The Surgical Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of surgical procedures, patient safety protocols, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assess patients' health status pre-operatively and post-operatively.
2. Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
3. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team.
4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
5. Assist surgeons during surgical procedures.
6. Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
7. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care.

Educational Qualifications

1. Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
2. Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
4. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Must-Have Skills

1. Proven experience as a Surgical Registered Nurse.
2. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques.
3. Excellent patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
7. Knowledge of infection control practices.

Good-to-Have Skills

1. Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification.
2. Experience with specific surgical specialties (e.g., orthopedics, cardiac, neurosurgery).
3. Experience with robotic surgery.

Pay Rate/Salary
