The Director of Consulting and Client Relations will serve as a senior leader within WDGC, overseeing client engagements, managing consulting teams, and nurturing long-term client relationships. This individual will play a key role in driving project execution, ensuring high-impact deliverables, and developing new business opportunities. The Director will be instrumental in shaping consulting strategies and expanding the firm’s influence across industries.
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for key client accounts.
Cultivate and sustain trusted advisory relationships with C-suite executives and decision-makers.
Proactively identify client needs and growth opportunities.
Consulting Leadership
Lead and oversee consulting engagements, ensuring strategic alignment, quality execution, and client satisfaction.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Provide guidance and mentorship to consulting teams.
Business Development
Collaborate with leadership to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Support proposal development, pricing strategy, and client pitches.
Represent WDGC at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
Strategic Direction
Contribute to the development of consulting methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Stay current with industry trends, economic indicators, and policy developments affecting client operations.
Help shape WDGC’s growth strategy and service offerings.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Urban Planning, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in consulting, economic development, site selection, or a related professional services field.
Proven success in leading complex client engagements and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive business development and client retention.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
