Job Overview

We are hiring a Manual Tester with strong expertise in the General Insurance domain and hands-on experience in TCS Bancs application. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing manual testing activities, ensuring the quality and stability of insurance solutions implemented on the TCS Bancs platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and functional specifications related to General Insurance applications.

• Prepare and execute comprehensive manual test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts for functional, regression,

integration, and system testing.

• Perform end-to-end testing of modules such as Motor Insurance, Health Insurance, Commercial Insurance, Claims Management, and related workflows in TCS Bancs.

• Identify, document, report, and track defects using tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.

• Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure proper defect resolution.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.

• Provide detailed test reports, highlighting test coverage, execution results, and defect trends.

• Participate in test planning, test estimation, and requirement review sessions.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1 – 5 years of relevant experience in Manual Testing within the General Insurance domain.
2. Hands-on experience working with TCS Bancs application.
3. Strong knowledge of insurance business processes and domain concepts (Motor, Health, Commercial, Claims).
4. Sound understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle management.
5. Experience in writing effective test plans, test cases, and test reports.
6. Proficiency in defect tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla.
7. Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
8. Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
9. Review and analyze system requirements and technical specifications.
10. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements.
11. Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug tracking system.
12. Perform regression testing to ensure that previously identified defects have been resolved.
13. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
14. Participate in test case reviews and provide feedback to improve test coverage.
15. Contribute to the development and maintenance of testing standards and procedures.

Educational Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. ISTQB/ISEB certification is a plus.

Good-to-Have Skills

1. Experience with automated testing tools.
2. Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
3. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
